Stan Milne

As a time-served draughtsman with a successful career in engineering, Stan was well-acquainted with putting his ideas onto paper long before he started drawing and painting recreationally. He is classified as a self-taught artist but he highlights the significance of attending artist workshops and demonstrations in his success. Now retired from engineering, Stan works as an artist full-time from his home studio in Glasgow.

Stan still uses some of the methods he learned from technical drawing, but he leans into the freedom granted by recreational art and most enjoys creating pieces where he can experiment with quirky figurative elements.
